Instrumental brewing company is a newcomer to the local brewing market in Vancouver, offering distinctive types of beer brewed locally for the beer enthusiast. With European style techniques, they want to offer the market something new and appealing over regular breweries.
Design Goal: To develop a brand identity (logo, colour palette, and style guide), three package design variations, branded accessories, print and digital ad layouts.
Constraints: Brewing is an increasingly popular and competitive industry, how can Instrumental Brewing Company Inc make its mark and lure diverse clientele.

Concept: Music is paired well with beer, influencing the taste of the beer becoming a visual metaphor for the creative imagination. I paired different musical instruments with new exciting beer flavours for the younger, more progressive audience.

Colour Palette: A striking label design reflects abstract visual of musical notes, complemented by quirky colour palette representing youth, happiness, adventure, mood uplifter and new beginnings. Bringing a twinkle to the eye of the viewer.

The middle of the abstract musical design is transparent in the bottle labels allowing the viewer to see variations in beer colour.


Business Card
The business card features a single musical note illustration which is simple and clean bringing notes of music to market the brand.

Brand accessories
Ad Concept: Using a vivid and quirky colour palette the ad attracts the viewer to pick their beer in harmony with their music taste. The ad is promoting Illustrated t-shirts that can be bought to allow customers to show off their beer taste, with multiple connotations of socialising, playfulness, musical notes to uplift the viewer and establish interest.
